completebreakdown

hello!

I am creating an e-book called AGING HUMANS: A COMPLETE BREAKDOWN, that will share many tips and tricks, hacks and perspectives people have found useful in managing the inescapable eventualities of aging, if you should live that long.

My work for decades has been peer learning with a touch of expertise, and this is more of that. I hope the book will be very helpful and pretty funny. I hope you will contribute some of your hard earned short-cuts and myth-busts and so on.

IF YOU ARE AN AGING HUMAN (whatever that means to you) please contribute to this helpful body of knowledge, via this survey: tinyurl.com/CompleteBreakdownSurvey

I chose to collect your info a via google doc, which is simple and free and hopefully a good decision. You do not have to answer every question; and you can come back and comment more, if you like. We crave to learn from your experiences. I am not a big fan of advice, but in this case I am asking for your advice. And unlikely solutions and repairs. And ways you’ve come to know yourself. And things you’ve stumbled onto.

In that doc (the tinyurl link, above) everyone has commenting privileges. Your comments will have your name listed for the short while until I accept it into the main text (which I might edit lightly for clarity and conciseness). Your name will not be up there for long. You can also email me your comments (with the survey as a prompt), to ira@irabryck.com

My aim is to help people a little bit, to learn or discover what has been working for others, elsewhere. Or you may realize you like the way things are. Or the collective perspectives of others may help you feel more in the normal range. While it may be true that “we get too soon old and too late smart” it doesn’t say you won’t get some time to enjoy being a little smart, or at least a little normal.

Also, this ebook is not medical advice. Think of it as the book you buy at Sturbridge Village, describing folk cures of 1790. What we share here, in 2025, will be on sale at Sturbridge Village in 2260. To stay safely on the safe side of “not practicing medicine” I am not going to mention any medicine. And if any doctors read this and want to comment on anything, I look forward to that.

I am doing this for fun, not for money. It started because I enjoy making cartoons using sora.ai, because I draw the same as I did when I was 11. I’ve actually made cartoons before, hiring 2 different people to draw my ideas. So now AI is my writing partner, and though I am concerned about AI, I’m also curious and it’s fun; and though it does use up to 100 ml per search to cool its machinery, I take short showers.

In conclusion, I hope you will take the survey and enjoy the results, and share with others, please. If you do fill out the survey, I thank you here, in advance. I do see who you are, and then I accept the comment into the body of the ebook, and then you’re anonymous. And I will say, I’ve already heard from people that they thought the process of thinking and writing their comments was satisfying and revealing. So yay!

many thanks!

Ira Bryck
